Dvd-rw Dvd+rw

Im looking in to a a Dvd burner but i cant figure out which brand works better and whats the difference between DVD-r and dvd+r. Any help?

dvd+ and dvd- are two differnt stadardizations..the best thing is to buy a DVD burner wich supports both types
