DVD/CD drive spinning up full speed while logging in??

Ive never had this problem before but since getting my new pc, when i turn it on the windows loading bar finishes and goes off and then when the next screen comes my DVD drive spins up really fast at full speed but i dont want it to, is there anyway i can stop it from doing this?

In case your wondering its a game which i always play so i just leave it in the tray.

Take it out of the Tray. That will stop the spinning.

sounds like windows trying to autoplay the disc.

That is exactly what it is doing. Only way to resolve it is to take it out.

But im sure my old pc didnt do this.

Anyway yeah, ill just take the disc out, its not hard to pop it in when i need it.

you could just get a no disk patch for the game, then you wouldn't have to put the disk in at all.

That's what I do with all of my games . Just make sure you make a backup of the original EXE, just in case.

Or can convert it to a ISO and mount it with Daemon Tools.

That starts taking up a lot of space when you have a lot of games, though =P. That's what they make mini-images for.

Use a External drive or just use the CD.
