I had 2 sticks of Crucial 512 mb pc 3200 on my MSI K8 NEO2Platinum Motherboard and it was so unstable that i couldnt even run windows for more than 3 minutes. I took out one stick, and it works fine. How do I put in the other stick to make it work fine? Do i have to tweak bois to have it work right? If so can anyone tell me exactly what to do, as i'm pretty much bios clueless.

The ram sockets are color coded, it goes Green, Purlple, Green, Purlple, and i had both sticks on both greens. Is this right? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your putting them in the right place.

But what happens if you just put the dodgy stick in on its own?

First I would check the timings in the BIOS to make sure they are correct. Then I would look at the voltage just to see if that is set right (2.5v). Also run: www.memtest86.com just to see if there is a bad module. The motherboard will take the memory and there isn't any issues with the chipset using the memory. Try memtest and check the timings.

PC3200 timings: 3-3-3
