i had the same problem "not starting" with a soundcard...I had the wrong drivers

windows has the correct drivers for it, the latest drivesr i mean

I have a question on this same topic. I was wondering if it is possible to run two monitors off of a ATI 9600 pro. Right now my other pc has a crt monitor on it. But the card has a digital out put. Could this be used for dual monitors?

You can use the DVI-OUT (digital out) to connect a second monitor. The majority of ATi cards (retail) come with an S-VIDEO to Composite convertor as well as a DVI-I to VGA convertor.

You will need the DVI-I to VGA convertor. If you don't have this, you can buy it from here.
