Dual Monitor problems

My brother has been running his computer on one monitor for a couple of days and it has been working fine but then he plugged a second monitor in and changed a couple of display settings and now when he tries to boot his computer it finishes at the windows is starting up screen and then stops sending a signal to both monitors. Please help... he needs his computer for work.

Maybe the refresh rates are too high. Can he boot into safe mode and see everything?

yeah i got him to boot in safe mode and im pretty sure that he can see from one monitor, not sure if he can see from both

In safe mode, you would only be able to use one monitor. Lower the refresh rates of both monitors, and then see if he can boot and see both. Also lower the resolution to 1024x768 or lower (if already not on that level)
