Dual Monitor Issue

I have a radeon hd 5870 dual graphics card. I have a insignia t.v. hooked up to it via hdmi cable. I have a Samsung SyncMaster BX2231 hooked up via dvi to vga adapter to vga cable. Both the t.v. and this monitor are working at all times. I added a Samsung SyncMaster BX2035 via dvi cable. The BX2035 will not detect. It turns on and searches for a signal but can't find one. If I disconnect my 2231 and turn off my computer and connect the 2035 then the 2035 works, but as soon as I plug the 2231 in the 2035 stops working.

Apparently if I disconnect the hdmi... the 2035 starts working then. I wonder if I just can't have 3 monitors for some reason.

You can't have 3 digital outputs on that card at once. The HDMI and one of the DVI ports share the digital signal on the 5000 series.
