how can i find out if my optical dvd-rw drive is dual layer

Go to My Computer, Right click a drive (HDD or CD or DVD, doesn't matter)-->Properties-->Hardware tab. Locate your DVD Writer, and next to it should be a part number/model number. Google it, along with the make. You should find the info you need.

unless ur comp is more than $800 and less than 4 or 5 months old, 95% chance that its not a dual layer anything

though they are cheap to buy, wait for hd dvd or blu ray comp drives to hit $200 oir so

yea just google ur model, but should definatly say on the tray, hmm wierd
