Default drivers wont download

ok guys...i have a older computer with windows 98 on it and i have a cd with all the mobo,LAN,audio, and usb drivers on it...the cd will only autorun with 2k and xp...so i can access the cd but when i click the setup icon for each driver it makes me choose a program to open it with...so basically i have tried all the options and i can get the drivers from the cd to my HD...nd suggestions???

are you trying to run an exe file? and to load most drivers, you go to the device manager and update them from there

Do you know if the CD actually contains win98 drivers? If so, just load them from device manager as suggested. If it doesn't have 98 drivers or if CD is knacked, let me know the make & model of the mobo & I'll point you in the right direction for downloading them.

umm the cd isnt damaged... i think it does have the 98 drivers..i guess i should have known to enable them through device manager...thanx guys
