Ive heard that your suppose to uninstall drivers when you install new ones. Is this true and how do I do so?

To completely ensure no issues, yha its a good idea.

You can use drive sweeper to do it.

But usually you don't need to uninstall them.

If you insert a different card into your desktop, yes, it is mandatory that you run driversweeper.

If you are simply updating the drivers on the same card, then no.

I downloaded "driver sweeper"- but then read a few posts about NOT cleaning out all the drivers. So, I was afraid of using it. How can you tell which drivers your trying to get rid of verses the one you want to stay?

It will show what you want to take off.

looks too easy - Hmmmm wonder what I was looking at a few months ago. Will have to try again. so, just check all the boxes for Nvidia if I want to switch to a ATI card? Leave the rest?

Only the Nvidia drivers. Do this in safe mode.

so would that be just the display and the physX boxes. I already downloaded and my window looks exactly like your post.

You can also uninstall those in the add/remove in control panels.

Yes, you can uninstall you drivers as above, but driversweeper will get rid of any hidden files of it.
