Default Downclock PC3200

I know that mobo's can downclock ram to have a 1:1 ratio with the processor, but if it can only go up to pc2700, will 3200 work in it?

You can put the pc3200 ram in the motherboard. It would be underclocked to the 2700 speeds. It will give you more room to overclock.

It will work but the RAM will be clocked to 333 MHZ (PC2700).

The ram will be clocked down to pc3200 speeds, however by basicly "overclocking" you will most likely be able to get it running at 3200 speeds

You can't exceed the limit of PC2700 without overclocking.
