well..i think my current monitor has a dot pitch of .27 , whenever i turn it on it sounds like its gonna explode...

im looking for a new one. I wanted to think about an LCD but i played some games on my parents LCD and wasnt impressed. Although i have seen affordable LCD's that are better than my parents...

15'' Macbook Pro
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.16ghz
x1600 128MB
Windows XP/Mac OSX 10.5

No longer a Guru of games...

The newer LCDs with faster response times are definitely better than the old ones were at games, but the still don't seem to be particularly stellar in games with lots of dark areas (which is just about every 1st person shooter ever made). They just don't show different shades of "black" very well.
