it gets up into the low 20s occasionally, and other times lower than 9.

what settings is this with? that real wierd tho. i was getting like 40 fps, in high at 1024. but thats with tweaking, hehe. But the frames wernt that smooth. so i sticked with either high 800x600 or med 1024.

i think its odd that your benchies are so high but gameplay is so low in it...

okay those benches are strange!! i have an X800 pro and on high settings i dont go anywhere below 30 FPS. there is something major wrong with ure computer or card or something. maybe he has it on lowest setting actually in doom3 and u have it on ultra high which requires over 500 MB of VRAM.

i have had nil problems playing doom 3 with my X800 pro and it is certainly not a 'suckage' card lol.

im running : -

2.8 Ghz C 800 fsb
1024 MB RAM PC3200
X800 pro not Overclocked
80 GB IDE HDD

nothing is overclocked...i only OC for benches.

im going to put a link to my other forum ive joined with this. see what they think

a 6800 GT is far superior for Doom 3 than the 9800 pro
