Default does a mouse come with an installation cd?

I'm not sure whether my Microsoft Comfort Optical Mouse 3000 came with a cd, but I know for sure I can't find it in my room, if it even exists. So is there another way to reinstall my mouse because I need the pre-existing settings.

I have the exact same mouse. I use it softwareless. If you want software, theres Intellipoint by Microsoft for your mouse.

You normally don't need an installation cd to use your mouse- once the pc is-up-to-date just plug in and allow it to be recognized. Then that it... If not follow the link given above or just search the name of mouse in google to get the software.....

Normally if you have a mouse w/ alot of buttons you'll want to install the drivers in order to customize. But for anything basic you should be fine.
