Does the i7 literally have 8 processors with hyperthreading

Each core can handle two threads at once, if supported. So you kind of have 4 dual cores, sort of.

It works the same as the old P4's that had hyperthreading. It could process two threads at once but was only single core.
 
not a lot of games are multithreaded but some programs are. Programs geared towards rendering and that type of thing will eat all the cores you have :]

but as stated above, it's 4 physical cores with 2 threads each making it like 8 virtual cores or something like that
 
No not at all..

Its 4 Physical Processors that are threaded to act like 8

Games really don't recognize them
 
Most games/programs still use only one or two threads. So you will have 6-7 threads just sitting there doing nothing.

Would love to see the sort of multi-tasking possible with the i7.
