Hey,

I recently purchased some Antec/Soundscience backlighting LED strips.

I was surprised to read that backlighting a monitor can help is these ways:

Reduce Eye Fatigue
Enhance Color Definition
Increase Viewing Hours

Does anyone here have any experience with backlighting a monitor, and if yes, what has been your experience? Does backlighting truly create the above listed benefits?

I read this article that states the following:

"Bias lighting adds a subtle white backlight to your monitor, reducing eye fatigue and increasing perceived image clarity. The color and brightness of the LEDs are carefully calibrated to achieve the optimal viewing experience and increase your monitor's perceived contrast ratio – making blacks blacker and colors more vibrant."

Is this for real?
