Digital video camera as web cam

Hi you techies out there, virgin techie needs to know if there is a way to use my digital video camera as a web cam?
My JVC DVC has a firewire DV output and is currently used to download videos from, but i would like to use it as a webcam considering webcams are so basic and do not have a good output.

umm...MOST DV cams can't do it, the only thing i can suggest is to look around online and read the manual and something may pop out
