Default A Different RAM question

Im looking to buy more ram for my computer and was wondering what brands, sizes, ect. are better or maybe it doesnt matter i dont know but i want to have at least 1GB of RAM(right now at friends house will post my comp specs at a later time) Any feedback would be good thnx.

Just get PQI 533 cheap ram at Newegg. I think it sells for like 90 bucks.

ummm...how do i know if my comp can use PC2-4200 or not?
