The different between Extreme and Extreme Edition?

I'm confused with E and EE??
It's not the samething?

E means it's a prescott core, i have an E. EE means it's extreme edition with tons of cache to make it perform faster.

by the way, the AMD FX series beats the EE's in some benchmarks done by maximum pc in one of their latest issues, it's also cheaper.

I don't know what E stands for, but here are some differences:

P4 EE
Core: Prestonia
Cache: 2MB
Process: 130nm

P4 E
Core: Prescott
Cache: 1MB
Preocess: 90nm

Bascially EE adds more cache and doubles the price. If you want to spend $999+ on a cpu get an fx-55.
