you do need drivers for windows to install though. Lemme go check asus's site for you and see if they have sata controller drivers...unless you have the mobo cd

then install some raid all in one drivers from the cd, i dont know exactly what they are called but i beliece that is what they are

if those are not what you look on the cd for sata controller drivers and just copy the inf files to floppy. Then boot off the windows cd press F6 and cross your fingers. In order for windows to install it have to have the trhird party drivers for the sata controller or there is no way it can use sata. Don't forget xp was released before sata existed (or at least before it was mainstream) so it has no idea where to look for the HD if it is on the sata controller and not the ata contoller.
