Default DELL memory? (old PC from 2002)

Someone from work was given a DELL computer since he didn't have a computer. They asked me to get it running for them. This thing is old and has 512 MB of memory! haha

Is DELL memory different then just any memory I might pick up from Fry's? I once heard this and was wondering if this is true.

Thanks in advance for your help!

f you can run the pc, run CPU-Z and see what max RAM you can run on there, and at what speed it is running.

Thanks for the help guys.

It states I need 184-pin DIMM, DDR PC2700. I can't find that on newegg. Will 184-Pin DDR SDRAM work?
