My DELL is dying!
I received a M1004 Error and I cant get rid of it.
I know error M1004 means an overheat issue. I have flashed my bios, unplugged AC adapter pulled out battery and held down power button but yet still nothing....anyone have any suggestions???

Thanks for your time.

Have you tried cleaning it out with compressed air?

Dust build-up traps heat... think like fiberglass insulation for your system.

Heat is your computer's enemy, as you are finding out. Clean it out and see if it helps. If it doesn't, your CPU fan/case fan/whatever a lappy uses could be dying.

Herre's what I could pull out of Dell's tech support pages.

Two possible causes and cures, outdated BIOS or clear NVRAM:

Link to the BIOS download page:
