I'm posting this as hopefully a little useful info. I've written an article regarding this and sent it to the TF Mods so hopefully it might be put up in their article section. I Flashed my BIOS with the completely wrong BIOS rendering it completely dead. In this instance I suggest you check out:

http://www.excaliberpc.com as they have a nice selection of BIOS chips for tons of boards. I just got my spare chip a day early (today) and it worked perfectly. I was able to hotflash my corrupted chip and so now I have 2 working BIOS chips and basically the one I ordered has now become a spare.

For anyone that has a completely dead BIOS chip try this website. This will give you instructions on how to hotflash your dead BIOS chip even if you don't have the EXACT motherboard BIOS to put in your computer to get it to boot in the first place.

Remember: This only MAY work for you. Generally you will need an exact duplicate of the motherboard bios that you ruined, simply meaning if you have that exact motherboard laying around then you're set. If you have two different boards then try out the link above.

Note: The methods provided in the link above did NOT work for me, but it also contains a Universal flashing tool worth checking out. Besides if your BIOS is dead you might as well attempt at bringing it back to life.

If all else fails like it did for me.... get a spare chip from the excaliberpc and when that one arrives...hot flash your dead chip so then you'll have a spare for the future. Happy flashing people
