I am a bit of noive to computer hardware!
I recently bought some DDR RAM the specs of this ram are listed immediately below: (taken directly from website)
1GB 266/333MHZ 184PIN DDR Memory, No-ECC. Higher performance over mainstream PC100 or PC133 memory. Up to 2.1/2.7 GB/sec of peak bandwidth using PC2100/2700 DIMMs (with DDR266/333 memory chips). JEDEC Standard. 184 pin DIMM, non-ECC. DIMM Lead pitch: 1.27 mm. 2.5 Volts. SSTL-2 I/O Interface. CAS Latencies: 2.5. SPD Support. Support for Memory Chip Stacking.
1 GB
Non ECC
Gold leads
Operating voltage: 2.5V
Motherboard must be able to take 1 GB in each slot
184 PIN Memory
2.1/2.7 GB sec
266/333Mhz
2.5 Volt Module
DIMM (DUAL IN-LINE MEMORY 128 X 4)
Non-ECC, Non-Parity
CAS Latency 2.5
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The specs for my PC no 1 are:
Architecture: DDR SDRAM
Memory Connectors: Two
Memory Capacities: 128, 256 or 512mb
Minimum Memory: 128 mb
Maximum Memory: 1 GB
non-EEC DDR SDRAM
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The specs for PC no 2 are:
Architecture: DDR SDRAM
Memory Connectors: Two
Memory Capacities: 128, 256, 384, 512, 768 mb or 1 GB
non-EEC DDR SDRAM
Minimum Memory: 128 mb
Maximum Memory: 2 GB
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Should this RAM work with either one of my PC's??
At the moment it doesn't, should it?
is it faulty?
Any help would be much appreciated!
