I've installed CD-RW about 2 weeks ago and everything was fine. (OS is Win2000 Pro). Then a few days ago I added DVD-R on the same IDE cable. CD-RW is slave, DVD-R is master. HD is on another IDe and Floppy is alone on another IDE.
After I added DVD-R my computer just went crazy; windows started opening/closing, programs started and stoped on their own, cursor was all over the screen..that was happening every 15-20 minutes for a minute or less.
I thought it was a virus so I scanned the comp with norton and a lot of other - didn't help. At the end couldnt even log in so I formated HD and reinstalled windows - same problem was here.
I just disconnected DVD-R and everything is ok.
How to fix this??
