I found a way to fix it!!!

My dvd wasn't scratched... it had burned properly, and even passed the verification test later...

But when I went to copy some files from it... I got the "data cyclic redundancy check" error...

So... I tried cloning the disk... mounting then copying...

Same problem...

Then I tried opening the cloned iso with winrar...

The files copied.. but they were all corrupt...

I even tried mounting that iso inside of an iso... (that made my pc crash)

So... eventually, I decided to try that old hd trick

I left the dvd in the freezer over night...

AND IT WORKED!!!

I was able to copy the stuff back to my hd...

Long story short...
It seems that the old "hard drive in the freezer" trick also works on cd's and dvd's
