Question D500P Sonnet Raid system HD compatibility

Hi everybody,

First of all notice that i'm french and it's very possible that my english writing is not very good, so be indulgent, thanks.

I bought the D500P Sonnet Raid system and my question is about the list of certified hard drive that Sonnet Technology gives on there site:
Sonnet - Sonnet Certified Hard Drive Matrix
in your opinion or your experience do you think that is an exhaustive list or do you know by your esperience that another hard drives can work with that system?
This question is only for 1To and 2To (7200 rpm) hard drives.
Thanks

That list is only a list of drives that they have actually tested, and found to operate properly. I would stick to the list as best as possible, if you can't then don't purchase a bunch of drives until you can test with a single drive or two, for reliability, and just to make sure it works.

EDIT: Actually, after looking into it, it seems that you should stick to the drives they list as compatible, as even the firmware on some drives can cause malfunctions.
