Default Cpu wont turn on.

ok last night i changed my cpu fan and i rehooked up everything to the mobo. And when i turned it on everything is running but no boot. And the floppy and cd-rom drive doesn't boot too. i tried all-night but i couldnt get it up.

Have you plugged the fan for the heatsink back into the cpu fan slot?


Did you hit anything? Plugged in the 12v?

Is there any beeps?

yea its pluged in

no i didn't hit nothing.

and there no beeps

the screen in on but like on sleep mode.

Try just using the basics, CPU, mobo, GFX card and PSU. See if it boots then.

Also try clearing the BIOS.

Which way round did you put the fan? The fan is meant to be blowing air onto the heatsink. It could over heating.

no its not working it turns on all fans are working and stuff. The fan is hooked up right and stuff but i dont know what the deal is it just wont turn on to boot up the bio's.

Locate the CMOS clear jumper on your MOBO. Either short tthe two CMOS CLEAR PINS or use a jumper. Then set it back to normal. Try to reboot.
