I know, I know it is a trick question. There are no amd processors that run at 3ghz. Not trying to ream you but stop the onslaught of posts. Athlon XP 3200+ BARTON 512K CACHE W/ QUANTISPEED ARCHITECHTURE AT 2.2GHZ. This is the top amd non 64bit cpu from AMD. I still think it is amazing that AMD does what intel does (give or take for you fans) at about a gigahertz less than intel. At work i have installed win 2000 on a machine with one of these and of course i had to test it out with some UT. All i can say was wow. No stability probs at all. Just wish i could have taken it home. It was installed in a soyo kt400 black edition mobo with 2gb ram. Actually i think you could get 3ghz if you overclocked teh begesus out of it but have not heard of any one getting it that high.
