CPU Upgrade

Your CPU uses socket 7. You should check your manual and see if the motherboard supports an AMD K6 or K6-2. They are available with speeds like 350 and 500MHz, but I don't know how it depends on the motherboard's FSB settings. I would also upgrade to 256MB of RAM, or higher if your motherboard supports it.

im surprised that u can run window xp on a 244mhz cpu and 160MB ram.

The screenshot says 224MHz wich is the same speed as my MMX. Mine is running XP with only 96MB of RAM.

Thats true, you could get a decent system for that price. Also, a 350mhz processor isnt good enough for much more than pong and microsoft word.

There are plenty of decent games (2001 and earlier) that require less then 350MHZ. Kind of makes you think how fast computers are evolving.

Well I don't know of anything for $60, but you could probabally find what you're needing for that somewhere...
