CPU upgrade

Athlon XP 2400+
GA7VA Gigabyte Mobo
80 GB Segate HD 7200 Rpm
CD Burner
Ati Radeon 9800 Xt
1024 MB PC2700 Ram

Now i would like to upgrade my CPU
to an Athlon Xp 3000+ 333FSB but i am not shore if it is worth it.

See the 2400+ runs at 2010Mhz and the 3000+ only Runs at around 2100Mhz.

So if i was to upgrade would i experience much of a speed bost or what?? or is there no point and i should save up for a Athlon 64 and new mobo.??

the Athlon XP3000+ is better, you would notice the difference. But i would recommend saving money for a while and then buying a new mobo and an athlon 64

I agree with them, if you can you would get a hige boost from an AMD64, but if you don't want to spend lots of money and want it now that is fine
