Default CPU too hot?

Hi, just finished my new build. I'm worried about my cpu temp. It reads 48c idle and I'm wondering if thats too high. I believe the temp inside my case is only at 32c. My heatsink is the Thermaltake Venus 12, the things an extremely loud beast. Im kinda disappointed with it but either way, is my CPU temp too high?

i just read reviews about my mobo and the outdated bios with it had a faulty cpu temp diode. It would display temps that were really higher than the actual temp. Hopefully when i get windows up and running i can download the new bios and see what my real temp is.

Don't feel bad. My Athlon XP 3000+ reads at 60 degrees at idle and that's when it's not overclocked!
