Default CPU temp

with everything running(windows applications games etc) it stays at 55C is that a good temp for a intel pentium extreme edition(dual core)3.2 ghz

im not sure i think its ok. i thought the extreme edition was 3.46ghz

55 is cool. Cool as in cool, but also cool as in not hot. Mine usualy runs at 65, so your CPU temp is cool. Cool?

Thats fine for a Intel dual core. Intel mucked up their 90nm CPU's, so they run a bit hotter.

If you use stock cooling, and want it cooler, than you can always get a Zalman 7700cu heatsink.

I like the name they gave the core, Smithfield.
