Default CPU Temp

Can someone tell me my CPU is Northwood or Prescotte? Check my specs in signature.

Also, my CPU is currently running at 49-52 C range while my MOBO is around 30-32C. Is that normal? Or too hot?

Thanks

Hi,

The P4/ 3.0E (1m cache) is a Prescott core if I'm not mistaken.

From what I understand about that processor it does run a bit hotter than say the 3.0C... your temps seem to be within reason.

Are you using the stock Intel CPU fan?

Funny pics here on the subject of cooling the prescott

I would think, and please someone correct me if I'm wrong, that if your case is providing proper airflow and you are not doing any wild OC'ing the stock fan should be fine.
