CPU slowing down

System=AMD Athlon 2400XP+ CPU
256 RAM
40gb maxtor
NiVidia GeForce MX440 64MB

i have got a problem with my processor.
i was runin Photoshop (which usualy runs as smooth and quick as MS paint) and i noticed a slow responce from my comp so i checked out the device manager and my processor had dropped from 2.001 ghz to just 1.67 ghz.
i thought this may be an error so ran norton and other things and no improvement. then i thought it might be a RAM issue but it wasnt.

So i figured it must have just started slowing down but i cud not see why?

Somethin got set wrong in the BIOS. Go into your BIOS and make sure your Clock Frequency is set to 133. If it says its already at 133 let me know and I'll try to help you out further.

checked bios and speed woz 133 started up windows and the CPU was back to normal.
Maybe it was just havin a bad day.lol
