cpu overheating

i dont know anything about your comp, but if your using a cheap generic PSU(power supply unit) that could also be the cause...

i tested a cheap generic 350watt psu, and every so offten when it booted up or shutdown, it would give me that IRQ_NOT_EQUAL_OR_LESS_THAN error same as you.

It sounds like a power supply issue, possible that your HDD is losing power enough and windows can see that it keeps losing power and getting it back so it forces it self to shut down, i had that problem with my old hard drive because there was a bad connection and it would lose power and get it back maybe 30 times in a min........ Then windows would BSOD to that error......
