CPU fans

Hi,

wondering about a CPU fan - im thinking zalman or so, and i saw a few othe topics explaining some bad cooling things, just wanna get ur opinion here on what will be good.



and also, even if a case has like 3 fans, still need a CPU Fan?

Som1 just told me on msn that you need a CPU fan no matter what, or ull see fireworks in like a minute or so.


Anyway thats just a general question.

yeah pretty much a total neccessity with new cpu's to have a fan as a bare minimum for cooling. they run damn hot. the fastest cpu i know of that doesnt have a fan is that in the xbox (after version 1.0). other than that i think virtually all cpu's above a pentium 1 have them

I currently have 6 fans in my case and a cheap cpu fan and i still have problems with overheating. I think a good cpu fan is the only way to really keep your cpu cool.

Do you think the heatsink and fans given to you when you buy .. lets say, the 3200+ Retail with box would cope nicely?

My case has 3 fans..

I got 6 fans as well, but my case runs cool.

Yes i have the copper plate, heatsink and fan. I am running an AMD athlon xp 1800.
