Default CPU external cache

on my bios i have the option to disable the CPU external cache, if i do then my cpu temp drops buy about 6 degrees, there is no change in performance, is it safe to do this, if it its then i can overclock by much more

I doubt you would want to disable your L2 cache.. Youve disabled it and not seen a performance drop?

i have actually, when running lots of programs, i think ill enable it again thanks anyway

The amount of L2 cache, is not a big factor in a processor's performance.

it might have been me thinking it was slower becuase i concisionly knew it was disabled
