Maybe somebody can help with this one.I have this computer. i t looks like a pentium 2 long black thin fan on top of the processor already in there. And on the side of it there is a socket 370 with no processor in it.It looks like another processor fitting It states i have a 500 mhz processor pentium 3
What should i do Get rid of the pentium 2 and put maybe a 700
processor in the vacant 370 slot with a fan. It looks like somebody was trying to upgrade hiscomputer.It does have a big slot for a keyboard signifying a real old computer But the screen(as far as i get ,it wont boot up into windows) says pentium 3 500 processor

I would keep the P3 500. Their good CPUs and you should be able to run Windows XP without any problem as long as you have at least 256MB RAM.

If you are looking for cheap old CPUs, try www.compgeeks.com
They have good prices, and seem to be pretty reliable (from what I hear from someone who has bought from them).
