Default corsair ram heatspreaders

does it matter what kind of heatspreader you get with corsair xms3200xl, black or platinum? is there an advantage for one of them?

in the kingston hyperx series the pdf spec sheet said the timings were 2-2-2-5-1 and after contacting their technical support the guy told me it ran at 2-3-2-6-1 because I was asking what motherboard it needed to use. He said any, you just need to change the timings etc.... so I suppose kingstong hyperx has one of those eh

are you sure it was the same stick? cause even corsair xms series has one 512 stick that runs at 2-3-3-6 and another stick that runs at 2-2-2-5
