My friend has a Satellite dish and reciever for TV. He would like to connect it to his computer so he can watch satellite on the comp. He has hooked it up with s-video giving him picture but no sound. Can he use a rca to mic adapter and get audio that way? Is there a better way to put the signal on his computer? I was under the impression tuner cards only worked for cable. Thanks for the help.

Actually mostly any wire that goes in that hole will work. I even used one of them three-prong dealies, those RCA thingies. Plug the one prong into the audio out slot then duct tape it to the computer, plug this into the TV's audio slot.

Actually I just remembered how we did do it, we had an external sound system, you can't do that on a normal TV.

You'll need to buy a VGA/sound-out to Coaxial converter or whichever way you would like to do it.
