Connecting the CD-RW drive

I've already replaced the IDE cable but did not solve the problem!the IDE cable.

How can I check the bios settings?

check the jumpers, the pins next to the IDE pins on the back of the drive. make sure the slave drive has the jumper set to slave and so on. id be more thorough, but my sister is in labor and i g2g
