Configuring Bulletproof FTP Server with Speedstream Router

I am in the the process of trying to set up an FTP server using Bulletproof FTP server with a SpeedStream Router and was wondering if anyone out there has successfully done this. I've opened up the ports on the router but when I test the FTP I can't connect. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

ask your ISP if they allow FTP. they may be blocking it. yes i have sucessfully done this with Serv-U
