Computer wont start up

Ok problem with a friends computer. when i switch it on it wont start up. some times when you press the power button the fans (Case and CPU) spin for about half a second then goes off again.

Other times the lights on the front of the case will light up all fans spin and the hard drives make some noise for a few seconds. Nothing happens with the monitor, just stays blank and dosnt come out of stanbby mode.No beeps, green light on the motherboard LED. After about 30-60 seconds the computer switches off.

The computer is about 1 year old and worked fine until now. Mother board is Asus A7VBX-MX SE not to sure what the processor is.

Any ideas

What PSU do you have? It sounds like that the PSU is a cheap generic one, that always go sooner or later.

just took it out its "MEGA POWER" CTX300WCE

There are 2 HD and 2 CD Drives 1 Floppy in the system as well. On Board graphics

It looks like a generic one, as there wasn't any site for it on google.
