computer totally mixed up!!!!!!!!

I NEED HELP!!! ok, i have a computer with a mn31n motherboard, athlon 2500 barton, 500w power supply, and 2 256 333 ddr sticks. IT DUZ NOT WORK!!!! i plug everything in, and it boots... and then when it says what cpu it is, it says athlon 1100. also, after it boots, the windows screen never comes up. it stays blank. so, i replaced the cpu. after that, i tried it yesterday and it didnt even boot. the screen was blank. i cleared CMOS, but that didnt help.... can any1 help me?

which the first processor .. which booted up as 1100 .. did u set the multiplier n' fsb in the bios ..
