Computer Noises

What exactly do i oil? Sorry to sound like a 'noob' but i am.....

Today i opened up the case and dusted what seemed to be the biggest fan. The problem, like i say, only occurs 1/3 times so i'll just have to wait and see if that helps....

nvm, its alrite. every1 was a noob once. i meant to say oil the middle part of the fan, where the bearing is. if u don't know how, u can ask these tech gurus.

Sometimes, my computer makes sounds too.

It'll go "wiki wiki wiki wiki wiki" for about ten minutes...Then you can hear little footsteps, and a door slams. Then my CD-ROM opens.

If I come back in an hour or so, the CD-ROM is closed, and I can hear what sounds like gerbils snoring.

it must be the CDROM then, they are pretty cheap to replace, you can get a 52x for like $20 aus

Take out the CD-ROM, shake it good, give it a stern lecture, and put it back in and tell it to "shape up and fly right."

God damned! My computer is making 'da noises still..
Should i vaccum my computer out and see if that helps any?
