Computer Help!!!

ok...so my comp wouldnt turn on so i checked somethings and wires and figured it was the psu...got a new psu and put it in but now as soon as i plug the power in it turns on itself but only the psu and cpu/fan turn on...nothing else works...try to open cd and its not on... but my lan card light turns on...but nothing else is workin... montior says no input...and i try to push in the power button on my comp and nothing happens....power light doesnt turn on....wat is going on?????????? help me fast!!! thanks

are all power supplies compatible with amd and intel? please help someone

is it a custom built pc or a dell? if its built by a company like dell than you need one from dell becaue they like to customize stuff (water down). if it is a standard pc custom built or somehting than you still need to check compatibility with processor (yes intel or amd does matter) and also if it is enough power. modern comps need 400 or 450 watts minimum.
