Default Computer hard drive problem

Hello everyone,

My computer suddenly is giving me a disk error message when starting the computer. Windows XP doesn't load or anything, and when I try to put in the XP CD, XP can't recognize my hard drives at all.

Can anyone let me know what may be the problem?
