Default Computer freezes!

Okay, only in Half Life 2, but I would really much like to know why..

I have

Sempron 2600+
Radeon 9600 Pro
Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS

The graphics just freezes, sound plays continuously and I have to press reset to get computer running again.

Not very often though, and it seems theres no connection to computer heating up because it can freeze after 15 minutes of playing or after 3 hours of playing..

For example Doom III never crashes so is there something wrong with my computer or is it Half Life:s fault?

I have windows xp pro

Question? How much memory? You only gave partial specs and with XP Pro, that uses lots of resources. Liz

Half Life freezes still, but now I also have another problem!
I just bought Armies of Exigo, which is nice, but it crashes often freezing the whole computer.

I just updated the game to newest version but it crashes still..

Hello infinite loop on the video card.

Reinstall the drivers after fully taking them out and check graphics card temperatures.

If that doesnt work, I would underclock the card and see if that fixes the problems. If it does, the card is pretty messed.

If none of the above work, reinstall windows. This has happened with ATI's card's before to me.
