I've installed some timeclock software on a client's computer. The problem is that the software depends on the system clock to keep time, and the clock on the computer is 'slow', and randomly getting behind throughout the day - to the point that it's got to be updated manually multiple times in a day.

Any idea what would cause that or how I can address it?

Thanks!

That happened to me a lot. The clock would go from 5 pm to 2 pm. I don't know what it is but I got rid of it when I reformatted.

I have the same problem. I set it for 6pm one day the next day at 6pm it shows 2am. Go into the bios and set it there so that windows can rececnise it

hello there,

I don't know if you have resolved this issue already but I have a suggestion that I got from this website. whatswrongnow.com try running your computer in safe mode to see if the clock still lags, if it does not, then there is something running in the back ground that is making it lag. If it still lags then it is time to replace your CMOS battery. hope this helps :)
