At least with the fx-57 you gaining performance across the board. Yeah you could argue it extremly small increase in some things and not even close to being worth the huge increase in prise. It still does not change the fact it better at everything.

As I show above the raptor are acturally wrost then other harddrives in mutitasking.
 
Well, what ever, don't want a start a big flame war in this guys thread.

I would actually suggest rethinking the FX-57. $700 is a lot to spend for a few more FPS, when you could OC the 3700+ to match it anyways.
 
Get the X2 4800+. It is a dual core 2.4ghz and will problably be more future proof w/ games b/c they will start supporting dual cores. They cost about the same too. The Zalman 7700 is very good (get the all copper one) and quiet.
